Located at 1787 Purdy Ave, Miami Beach, Florida, Stiltsville Fish Bar’s sleek modern exterior contains an inspired indoor dining room and a relaxing outdoor experience. Situated just beside the western coast of Miami Beach, the view from inside and outside is almost as good as the fresh seafood the restaurant serves. Visitors can grab a seat at the bar, find a table, or sit in a hammock chair to enjoy a meal and watch the sunset.
The Inspiration Behind the Restaurant
Stiltsville Fish Bar opened its doors in September 2017, led by the culinary duo Jeffery McInnis and Janine Booth. The two have extensive experience in cooking and restaurants, and this is only their newest venture—inspired by Jeff’s childhood and his passion for the ocean.
As the Stiltsville Fish Bar website states, “Jeffrey McInnis was born to either fish or cook.”
Jeff grew up on fishing boats and, at 16, found himself peeling shrimp, cleaning squid, and cutting fish at The Marina Cafe. He soon appeared on Top Chef and returned to Miami to run the Gigi restaurant.
In 2013, Jeff launched the Root & Bone Southern restaurant in New York City with his partner Janine. Eventually, the pair decided to return to Miami and found the Stiltsville Fish Bar.

Stiltsville Fish Bar quickly became known for excellent seafood, Key West-inspired drinks, and a unique coastal experience that locals love. While the fare is high-quality, the dining environment is distinctly relaxed and casual, serving as a welcome invitation for the community and its visitors. The menu at Stiltsville Fish Bar reflects the fusion of Southern comfort and seafood, with Shrimp N’ Grits being the perfect representative. The restaurant also offers a unique basket of Buffalo Fish Wings, which have gained remarkable popularity. For something sweet, visitors can enjoy a classic Stiltsville Key Lime Pie or the Cast Iron Chocolate with coconut gelato.
